For folks here and republicans everywhere screaming "sweetheart deal," a quick comparison of the Roger Stone and Hunter Biden tax settlements. Roger Stone and his wife, Nydia Stone, reached an agreement with the government to be held responsible for more than $2 million in taxes, penalties, and interest. It also proposed a judgment against Roger Stone alone for about $453,000 in taxes, penalties, and interest.
No misdemeanors for Stone or his wife, no charges filed.
Hunter Biden did not pay $100,000 owed for each of two years, 2017 and 2018 and agreed to plea to two misdemeanors after paying the money due some time ago.
So that's the Stones and $2.5 million and no charges filed vs. Hunter Biden and $200,000 or so plus two misdemeanors.
So tell me, folks, exactly who got the sweetheart deal?
