Somewhere on phone lines in D.C. a conversation is taking place. The subject of the conversation is "Why do you, Country X, bar certain American goods from your shores via tariffs yet expect us to level nothing in return?"

It's a simple, and very good, question.

There's a lot of dumb stuff we do just because we seem to have been doing it for years. To me, and to most, that's not a recipe for success in the future.
