Received an envelope from my broker today. The contents were an entreaty from Exxon: inviting me to default my shares to always be voted the way management wants them voted. How helpful! They want to relieve me from the labor of voting against a CEO pay plan that escalates far faster than shareholder return. I need no longer be troubled by officers of the company sitting on the board that is supposed to supervise them. Nor do I need to think about all the politicians and Generals that received board seats as payment for "services". Just scan the QR code on the letter, to give away my shareholder voting rights.

Yeah, right, never.

Steve
