Yesterday, we learned that Jeff Bezos, on behalf of Amazon, paid Melania Trump $40 million to license her documentary produced by disgraced director Brett Ratner.
As a “licensing deal,” Amazon doesn’t even get to own the film; they just get to distribute the film on their platform for a limited time during a “licensing period.”
To be clear, this is an unheard-of deal.
No one is getting paid anywhere near this amount of money for documentaries in 2025.
Most subjects of a documentary don’t get paid anything.
If they are paid for their personal archive or a licensing fee, no studio is paying anything remotely close to what Melania was paid, not even for the biggest stars.
Figure out some bullshoot reason to justify paying a bribe.
Pay the bribe and chalk it up to "expenses".
This is how the grift works- whether it's Trump, Melania, or any of the other grifters who have attached themselves like remoras to the MAGA gravy train.

Back in the dumb days of giving a Shit - the Leader used to write how anyone from BUSH to CHENEY to CLINTON - and so many others - would "write a book".
The Leader - would ask - just who the hell is buying those books when most of them can't name their own Senator? This while the Ruling Class was getting millions.
