Were that reversed (i.e. the Dems made a felon their candidate, and the Reps were letting the wheels of justice work even on their own people, I'd have to vote "R" in November. But, of course, it isn't reversed. The Dems are not interfering with Menendez, and the Reps have a felon as their candidate. Makes the choice pretty easy.

I'd appeal all the way to the USSC if I was Menendez. They are corrupt AF, so there's a good
chance he'd be acquitted. Or at least get the prison sentencing delayed until he's dead. Seems
to work for other people.
