There was no mention of Ted Weschler in the announcement of management changes. His title is Investment Manager and there is no mention of any added responsibilities.
Will he be responsible for a larger investment portfolio, maybe all of it?
Will he manage Todd’s portfolio or will Abel or someone else be appointed to do it?

Good question. It's hard to believe that both T & T were hired in 2010, so they have both worked at Berkshire for 15 years! Wow. I never would have guessed it has been that long.
So, Todd became CEO of Geico and supposedly turned the company around. What exactly has Ted accomplished? I know he was instrumental in Berkshire buying that German Motorcycle company and I'm sure he has done much more than I can come up with off the top of my head but when I think of Ted I think of DVA and SIRI. Maybe he was the one who turned Warren on to AAPL? I'm struggling here....:)

"Detlev Louis" is not a motorcycle company. It´s Europe´s largest motorcycle accessories chain (Helmets, clothes, chains, oils, you name it, they have it - if it´s not a motorcycle :)

Not a ringing endorsement. Any sane person would be much happier with their Berkshire shares if they didn't own DVA. Some businesses just smell bad. If you want a bad smell, buy tobacco.

Where in Germany are you Said? I go there about four times a year, mostly Nuremberg and Cologne but also visit other cities from time to time. Big fan of the country and not a believer in all the doom sayers about Europe and Germany in general!
