Willis's office 'extorted' her plea by threatening her with jail time ' which is, indeed, more or less how plea bargains usually work.

Pretty slick, reframing a prosecution as extortion.

Get busted for anything - failure to report for jury service, speeding, trespassing, theft, assault - simply claim the risk of being found tried and sentenced is tantamount to extortion, so one had to plead guilty.

Apparently MAGAs are willing to buy this inanity.
