VW built some rather eccentric models in Brazil in the 70s and 80s. I was wondering what the actual tariff rate was, now that a court, some weeks ago,overturned many individual country tariffs. A Brazilian car restoration and export company I follow on FB, "Kombi Warriors", posted they were shipping another Toyota HiLux to Houston. I asked them what the current, all up, US rate for Brazilian cars was now. Their reply "52%" *koff* I can't even begin to imagine the lust that guy in Houston has for a HiLux, that he will pay that tariff.
