The "war" (that isn't a war, otherwise would have required Congressional approval) is going on two months old. The war that would be quick, and cause very little disruption to the economy. Well, those Felonious predictions were -predictably- wrong.

Energy markets are in turmoil. The Pentagon has given its first public estimate of the war’s cost: $25 billion so far. Key Republicans in Congress are growing impatient. And Mr. Trump is lashing out at foreign allies, like Germany, who have shown no interest in joining the fight.

Speaking to a crowd of supporters on Friday, Mr. Trump insisted he had no regrets.

“I did something that was, I don’t know, foolish, brave, but it was smart,” Mr. Trump said at The Villages, a retirement community in a solidly Republican area. “I would do it again.”

Still, Mr. Trump’s predictions of a relatively short-term conflict with minimal economic consequences appear to be crumbling around him.

What was it Forrest Gump said? "Stupid is as stupid does"? Gump would be a better POTUS than the train wreck we have now.

So, cost of the war so far is about 20% of the tariff payback.

Stock market is flying.

What's the problem?

Rubio says the war is over.

Iran live updates: Rubio says operation Epic Fury is over

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters at the White House that operation Epic Fury is now over, saying the U.S. is now involved in a "defensive" operation as it seeks to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

"If they pose a threat to our forces, we'll shoot down drones, we'll shoot down missiles. But it's defensive in nature," Rubio said.

Rubio announces new UNSC draft resolution to 'defend freedom of navigation' in Strait of Hormuz

Does that "freedom of navigation" resolution include "freedom" for Iranian ships and Iranian customers? Or will Trump the Conqueror continue his blockade, which would force Iran to respond in kind?

Intent seems clear: no more offensive actions. Just a continued blockade of the Strait. Forcing countries to come to the US looking for oil.
