I believe that’s true. I also believe you don’t get Obama without the staggering ineptitude of George Bush. Between ignoring the warning signals of a coming 9/11, launching a wholly fictitious jihad for WMD, and ending with the financial collapse of 2008, Americans were desperate for a change, any change.
They even elected a black man! Color me surprised if it happens again in this century.

Yes, Trump rode the reaction wave to a black President. When he was elected a friend was driving through the south and tuned into AM radio talk stations and angry people would call in talking about the "n!qger". When I was in the South people would tell me N jokes, I wouldn't laugh, but if I asked then to not tell me N Jokes they wanted to beat me up. And here's one of my two main quotes:
President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
Just right for a grifter.
