US views on immigration are changing. I live in a community with many immigrants and enjoy the diversity, and see US immigrants as a net benefit for the US macro economy. The video linked below also supports immigration as a reason for the US above-average historical economic growth. But maybe this is changing. Where will the immigrants go, now that they are unwelcome in the US?

How US views of immigration have changed, July 11, 2025
"About 8 in 10 Americans, 79%, say immigration is “a good thing” for the country today, an increase from 64% a year ago and a high point in the nearly 25-year trend. Only about 2 in 10 U.S. adults say immigration is a bad thing right now, down from 32% last year."

Economics Explained: The Rise and Fall of the USA | Curiosity Stream , January 28, 2025
"The USA is home to the largest and most influential economy in human history, but why? What allowed America to pull ahead of its global peers? Was it resources, free markets or the American Spirit? Or was it just being in the right place at the right time? What happens when that time ends?"
Multinational corporations have spread the USA brand across the world, and brought high paying non-manufacturing jobs to the USA. Why has the USA led? Innovation and immigration. The US is home to the largest immigrant population in the world. This is a culture of risk takers. Overall, immigration is a net benefit at both the high end and the low end of the job market. One of the reasons economist think the US has better trend growth than say Europe is that the US lets more migrants in.
The US market based financial system has also given the US a significant advantage.
