I don't see why anyone would think companies wouldn't pass on at least part of the increased costs. They are in business to make money.

What truly baffles me is that the same folks who, up until this year, staked their life on the fact that increasing the costs of businesses (including raising taxes) will raise prices for consumers, are the same people now claiming that increasing tariffs on the products businesses are importing will not raise prices for consumers.

It's a real head scratcher.
