"[...] it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Bending Spoons, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $233 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Brightcove shareholders will receive $4.45 per share in cash for each share of Brightcove common stock that they own. The per share purchase price represents a 90% premium over Brightcove’s 60-day volume weighted average share price as of the close on November 22, 2024."

I wish I could take a victory lap, but when I posted about them last (https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?pid=535043362), they closed at $4.37. It was a wild ride.

There are probably safer ways to make money, but it's trading $.17 below the offer, which is expected to close in the first half next year, so mild merger arbitrage opportunity of about 8%.
