Spankee's tariffs showing up in Walmart pricing. Package of tomatoes was $2.50 each before tariffs. With added tariffs, new price is $3.27, or more than a 30% price increase.

It's my guess that it's a combination of tariffs and a lack of farm workers to harvest the crops rotting in the fields. I would not want to be a farmer dependent on laborers to harvest crops right now. Or a corn farmer now that Trump has declared war on HFC. I expect ethanol will be his next target.

This is pure tariffs. Tomatoes grown in Mexico are ripened on the vine in the fields. The ones I buy are from Mexico (right on the package). So, it is ALL TARIFFS. AKA, HIGHER TAXES.
