I had hoped for better, but I ignored 3000 yrs of history and underestimated humanity's basic instinct to hate others. I'll do fine; I'm an old white guy, but I mourn for my daughter and granddaughters.
I suppose the market is up today anticipating all kinds of tax and regulation cuts. I don't see that 'up' lasting in what seems to be the market's already overpriced condition. I expect those tax and regulation cuts (and tariffs) to eventually hurt all but the most wealthy, particularly hurting those in the middle and labor class who voted for this administration. You never know when that will come, but as the market has risen, I'm now at about 30% cash. The more I can make and preserve, the better to help my female family members in the future.

I had a German uncle. A Jew who saw the writing on the wall, got here in the early'30s. His sweetheart was unable to get a visa. My uncle went back to Germany wearing a US Army uniform. After the liberation, he found his sweetheart. Miraculously she survived as a laborer in several concentration camps.
