1.Sold a bit of BRK in a taxable account (new high, recent weakness in Sterling and for tax planning purposes it made sense) they're abolishing the capital gains tax free limit in the UK! (Socialism)
2. Sold a third of my alphabet position and initiated a new position in JD.com ADR, I've had a detailed look at the business and like it and it's potential growth and runway. Trading at 5 year lows and single digit multiple to free cash flow vs Alphabets 25 PFCF. I still maintain Alphabet as a core holdings and will continue to hold the rest.

I just did the same.
Not that I'm actually bearish, but a man has to eat, and the valuation is such that I don't expect the next year to be a great one for the stock price.
Closed some Jan 2024 $235 calls I bought in March for $79.69, got $133.38 for 'em today.
So, yeah, I'm a short termist. But a happy short termist.

Followed your lead, Jim, and closed my similar Jan 2024 240 calls for $130.10. Fortunately a LTCG +95%. Sitting tight on the others for now.
