Chris Truax:

Trump's mental decline is undeniable--so what now?

“Confabulation.” It’s a word you are going to be hearing a lot in the coming months.

Confabulation isn’t misremembering a date or forgetting something. The mistakes of memory we are all subject to become confabulation when people remember false information in vivid detail — detail so vivid and complete that people who don’t know otherwise often believe what they are hearing is true.

In older people, confabulation is one of the clearest early signs of dementia. The day you witness someone confabulate is often the day you are forced to admit to yourself that a beloved parent needs help, and that all the little slips and oddities you’ve been seeing can no longer be rationalized away.

Tiedrich: Truax goes on to cite Donny’s most recent episode of confabulation, where he blathered at length about how his supergenius uncle the MIT professor taught math to the Unabomber — which is in fact one of the things in this world that never happened the most.

Truax: Trump’s uncle was indeed a professor at MIT, but everything else in this story is pure confabulation. Trump’s uncle didn’t have degrees in “nuclear, chemical, and math” — he had degrees in electrical engineering and physics. And Kaczynski did not go to MIT at all — he went to Harvard.

Tiedrich: it was Donny’s dead pedo bestie who used to claim he knew Kaczynski — but Donny’s too far gone to remember who’s told him what. confabulation, it’s what’s for breakfast.

Truax also cites Donny’s inability to understand how numbers work as another warning sign of dementia.

Trump: “…one fifth. one half. it’s a tremendous difference. this is for the people in this room, because this is something that nobody else can do. we’re gonna get the drug prices down, not thirty or forty percent, which would be great. not fifty or sixty, no. we’re going to get them down 1,000 percent. 600 percent. 500 percent. 1,500 percent. numbers that are not even thought to be achievable.”

Immediately people explained that Donny was just exaggerating to make a point. Really? I think he has no idea how math works.

Queue Albaby to clear it up in 3..2..1. 😊

Personally, as Tiedrich said, I suspect all Trump knows is that "big numbers better", so he says them. As for the true meaning of a 1500% discount? Perhaps he thinks it means the new price is 1/15th the original one. I really wish someone would ask him what it means...

How is Trump not raked over the coals for idiotic statements like the above ??
Reporters don't even challenge him when he is spouting that gibberish ??
Are they that intimidated by him ?

Now this is easy for me to say, I'm not in the room with him, but Trump is not a tough guy.
He's an obese, belligerent blowhard, and he would surely throw a tantrum if confronted in
real time, but it has got to be done by somebody. I don't care that he is Prez, he needs
to be challenged. And if he gets challenged enough, he will likely have a melt down and
have to be led off stage. But until somebody calls him out on his blatant bullshit,
he's gonna just keep on spewing it.

if he gets challenged enough

That is the problem. He RUNS AND HIDES from any real challenge because he knows he can not handle it, especially in real time. He HAS to believe he is in control--which is why he has people silenced/removed when he *is* publicly challenged. We have seen it a lot. Hence the requirement for his Excremental Output volume AND the need for continuous "emergencies". It allows him to do as he chooses with minimal opposition. He is unable to function as if he were fairly normal.
