...was a train wreck.
All this for a hundred thousand voters in Michigan? How very...moral...of him.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statement...

President Biden spoke by telephone with Prime Minister Netanyahu. The two leaders discussed the situation in Gaza. President Biden emphasized that the strikes on humanitarian workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable. He made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers. He made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps. He underscored that an immediate ceasefire is essential to stabilize and improve the humanitarian situation and protect innocent civilians, and he urged the Prime Minister to empower his negotiators to conclude a deal without delay to bring the hostages home. The two leaders also discussed public Iranian threats against Israel and the Israeli people. President Biden made clear that the United States strongly supports Israel in the face of those threats.

Is this serious? In his last job Biden and Obama gleefully droned anybody they wanted, consequences be damned. And does he think that Netanyahu's negotiators *aren't* working on releasing the hostages?

Way to undercut Israel's leverage with Hamas.

And then here's Blinken:

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/04/04/politics/biden-...

Speaking in Brussels after the call, Secretary of State Antony Blinken made the stakes clear: “If we don’t see the changes that we need to see, there’ll be changes in our own policy,” he said. However, neither Blinken nor National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, speaking later at the White House press briefing, detailed what those potential policy changes could be.

Kirby said the US “would hope to see some announcements of changes here in the coming hours and days – and I’ll leave it at that.”

Again, it's performance art for Dearborn, MI.

It's merely posturing.

"Netanyahu!" "Bibi!"

It's not just for Michigan (which the GOP will be doing in just a few cycles ;)

It's for Progressives who fixate on an individual.

This way "Biden spanked Bibi!!!!" and when Bibi is inevitably ousted....the Progressives can pretend it's some victory. even though the apartheid and subjugation they PRETEND to care about.....remains.

The sole plus I get from this is that Biden HAD to do this.

A certain voter bloc is - like I used to say nn TMF and here - starting to learn their power, as limited that it is.

It's still in infancy. IN Europe they are an "exploding" population - yeah - LOL - I SAID IT. But here we will see if this new power grows and matures slowly. USUALLY - balkanized peoples have been controlled by Westerners by dividing and conquering. Exploiting ancient religious, caste, tribal rivalries and instilling fear in one or both sides. And THEN crowning the winner....in return for selling out to the European Crown that was doing the European Rape Genocide Du Jour. BUT while not a sure bet - there is hope.

Back in the W years - when I actually gave a shit - I used to warn about America's balkanization. I cited huge unassimilated voter groups forming separated by religion, race, tribe, caste - but also - socio economically and I said that eventually, you'll know from someone's face which tribe they are with. It's slowly starting to happen.

When I saw how racist the Liberals were - back then I had some economic oomph so one of the things I wrote about on TMF was befriending a Muslim small business person in Michigan. The SPECIFIC things I wrote about was showing the guy how to legally avoid TONS of taxes by buying the land his small biz was on and paying his family members and 401K'ing their salaries (amongst ahem other methods). The guy is still a friend and back then he gave me a watch with Arabic numerals and since then we've grown the group to 6 families. LOL now - *all* their kids had 40 quarters of Social Security done before college was over and because the "INCOME" was so low - (2) of the families had low FAFSA....and got all sorts of aid for college lolol.

Point being I've seen POTENTIAL on their working together but in the end - they are susceptible to divide and conquer.

America is a 200 year old baby yet now, the tribes and castes are becoming permanent. Already you can see - - Putin exploit one tribe. Bibi and Israel exploit the WHOLE country lol. China exploited the Left tribe in the 90's....and on and on and on.

Eventually my hope is the GOP stops being Israel's mule. That Israel can stop holding up ONE book of the Bible, say "noun, verb, rapture" and get a bunch of people shouting "Israel!!!"....thsi while many of the biggest proponents of Israel are NEoCons and Leftists that openly look on Conservatives as hicks and nuisances.

Muslims have a chance at bat. They haven't gotten into "smoke!" "drunk!" and the births out of wedlock lifestyle. 50's America, in some cases is alive ..... in minority groups like Muslim Americans and certain other groups the Liberals are racist against.

We shall see if the GOP is able to realize - this is their ticket to electoral wins in the future.

If not, oh well.

In the meantime my ObamaCare subsidy is nice :)

Dope1: ...was a train wreck.

Umm.

The Israeli government approved the opening of three aid corridors that were specifically requested by President Biden in a Thursday call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, CBS News has learned.

Mr. Biden told Netanyahu that the Israeli strike that killed seven aid workers in Gaza was "unacceptable," and warned that U.S. policy toward the conflict going forward will depend on Israel's actions to relieve the ongoing humanitarian crisis, the White House said.

By "train wreck," did you mean immediately effective?

Dope1: In his last job Biden and Obama gleefully droned anybody they wanted...

Hardly. In eight years, drone strikes that Obama authorized killed an estimated 3,797 people, including 324 civilians. In six months, more than 33,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war in Gaza; of those, about 40% were children.

Israel says the number of dead is closer to 65,000. So, between 5-10% of the population of Gaza have been killed in the war.

Chef José Andrés said his World Central Kitchen charity's team in the Gaza Strip was deliberately targeted by the Israeli military with deadly airstrikes that killed seven staffers on Monday, including a young American father.

"This was not just a bad luck situation where, 'Oops, we dropped a bomb in the wrong place,'" Andrés told the Reuters news agency, stressing that his team's vehicles were clearly marked and "it's very clear who we are and what we do."

"They were targeting us in a deconflicting zone, in an area controlled by IDF. They, knowing that it was our teams moving on that road... with three cars," he said, adding that he believed the seven aid workers killed by the strike in Gaza were targeted "systematically, car by car."

World Central Kitchen said it had coordinated its movements in Gaza with the IDF and this was not a case of "misidentification."

No one on the world stage has been a stronger supporter of Israel after the Hamas terrorist attack but no one's patience is inexhaustible.

I look forward to your comments on the secret meeting between Jared Kushner and Netanyahu and the Trump Organization's plans to develop a Trump Tower on waterfront property in the Gaza Strip.
