SVB Financial Group (SIVB).

Apparently some cash flow issues involving bond buying.


SVB Financial (SIVB), holding company for Silicon Valley Bank, crashed another 66% early Friday morning on growing fears of a bank run before the stock was halted.

Personally I think a lot of the economy is just a house of cards teetering on collapse.

Canadian, Swedish and Australian banks are some of the best in the world and are protected oligopolies. Their regulators are also more sensible and less hostile to the mega banks.

TD Bank, Handelsbanken and Commonwealth Bank are the best in class in the three countries respectively. Probably not as cheap as some large caps US banks like Citi, but then Citi has been ineptly managed for decades.

Own TD. Really wondering about MTB and USB. Berkshire dumped USB, for reasons unknown, but they look attractive, and MTB has been getting creamed but is a long term holding.
