Dont have much to say other than to point out that ATD has been rising in price lately on new specific news that I'm aware of.
Curious if anyone else who follows has any thoughts on why.
Earnings, as I noted in a post from June https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?pid=234253820&wholeThre... have been good.
While the share price didnt do much after the last earnings report, price is up to 71.77 from 66 at end of July - almost 9%.
This tends to be a low vol steady grower, so its caught my attention

It is up, but "up" isn't that unusual for them.

Charts aren't that informative, but not that the current price is merely at the high end of the trend "channel" in the last few years.
Perhaps more meaningfully, valuation multiples seem to be pretty typical for the last 5 years, and lower than the typical for the last 10 years.

So maybe it's just up because it's growing in value on trend, and was a little cheaper than usual lately.
Other than a particularly cheap stretch around winter 2020/2021, the valuation range in the last two years has been the lowest in ages.
Sometimes you don't need a catalyst.
