Iran is pitching a plan where it would charge fees along with Persian Gulf countries for vessels looking to transit the Strait of Hormuz, per WSJ.
Details include:
Iran estimates it could make $40 billion per year by charging for security, safety, and environmental services in Hormuz
Iran has already set up an insurance firm it says shippers must use to cross the Strait of Hormuz
Iran appears to be preparing for fees to transit Hormuz after the US-Iran 60-day MoU expires.
"Everyone needs to know that management of the Strait will never return to the way it was before," Iran's Speaker of the Parliament said.

A few days ago, the UN announced a plan to evacuate the ships, and some 11,000 crew, who have been stranded in the Gulf since Trump started his made-up war.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — A United Nations agency paused the evacuation of ships through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday after the British military said a vessel was hit by a projectile off the coast of Oman following the passage of several tankers that used a route backed by the U.N.

The head of the International Maritime Organization said the plan to move stranded ships out of the Persian Gulf through the strait will be on hold until the agency can confirm safety guarantees for the ships on the evacuation list and in the region.

Oil tankers, led by the Stoic Warrior vessel, sailed along the United Arab Emirates and then Oman early Thursday, passing by Oman's Musandam Peninsula fairly close to the shore. The route was laid out by Oman and the International Maritime Organization, a U.N. agency.

The naval arm of the Revolutionary Guard issued a warning Thursday against using the route, carried by Iran's state-run IRNA news agency.

It said the new route was established without notice or coordination with Iran, calling it "unacceptable and completely dangerous."

"Violators will be dealt with," it added, without elaborating.

Iranian drones attack Bahrain and a ship is struck in the strait after US airstrikes on Iran

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran launched a drone assault targeting Bahrain while a ship in the Strait of Hormuz separately came under attack Saturday, likely Tehran's response to overnight airstrikes by the United States.

The attacks across the Persian Gulf show the danger of the Iran war again spinning out of control, even after Iran and the U.S. reached an interim deal to try and agree on a final accord to end the conflict.

Security forces deployed in Baghdad’s Green Zone amid reports of arrests

Iraqi special security forces were deployed early Sunday inside Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone amid reports of arrests linked to corruption investigations, according to media reports.

A security source told the Al-Mada news outlet that special forces were stationed near several sensitive headquarters in the area, with security measures tightened at some entrances and roads leading to the zone.

The source said the deployment coincided with arrest operations carried out under judicial warrants, targeting political figures, officials and security personnel whose names were reportedly included in files related to corruption and abuse of influence.

This report says the politicians and officials are wanted in a corruption case. There is chatter that the Iraqi administration suspected a US/Israel backed coup was in the works as the administration is more aligned with Iran, and the pols being arrested tend to be Sunni.
