It would take even more oil off the market, if Iraq was sucked into the war. But Chevron is operating in Iraq now, and angling to take over a concession that Lukoil used to operate. So the "JCs" at Chevron need to do a balancing act: how much more profit they would make from their ops in Venezuela, and other ops, vs how much profit lost if their Iraqi operations are taken off line.
