interesting, although many details are long known. many took the first quarter of accounting profit as permanent validation for tesla.

short sellers have long been saying it will take >80% losses in the median acquired shareprice for the fanboys to start departing, and before any downward momentum will be irreversible. yes, some of the holders are so wrapped up in their identity with musk (see also, djt\trump) that they have enough faith and are willing to ride it down to zero if needed.

but if musk retains enough wealth (e.g., possibly advances on new gov payments for spaceX and starlink, etc...) after sufficient tsla shareprice drop, he could do a massive private take-under, pre or post bankruptcy, as a farewell gift to them.
