If they're campaigning with 'god', I have no confidence they will maintain that separation in their governance.
I can bear a little Jesus here and there without barfing. There's separation and then there's SEPARATION. If a candidate occasionally says their politics are informed by their belief in god and the examples they provide are morally and ethically beneficial to society and individuals (the so-called Matthew 25 folks), then that's one thing. If they are Christian god nationalists, whose god is the only one acceptable, then that's completely another. There is a hell of a lot of difference to me in espousing a god of charity, forgiveness, and love v. a god of retribution, selfishness, and hate.
