I think I’ve figured this out.
If Trump wins, he can’t run again in 2028. If he can’t run, he can’t grift off his idiot MAGA base. Worse, if he wins, he’s stuck with running the country. That’s hard work. He doesn’t want to do that. And it’s also hard to grift off your idiot MAGA base while you are President.
My conclusion? Trump isn’t demented. He’s a genius deliberately trying to lose.

No, no no. Trump meant to say "vote" on Jan 6, by which he intended another insurrection attempt. But given the doltish dotard that he is, he conflated that with election day on Nov 5. 😊
