Anybody else getting sick of the pitch from candidates for cash ? I understand that they have to get their name and face out there, but it's kind of sickening, this daily, constant request for money. It's almost like this is just a way for the media companies to make a windfall, lol. It sure feels like We The People are getting played by this "system". Sure will be glad when this is over, then we'll have a week or two respite before the barrage starts again.

( Lol, I'm even getting pitches from Trump's campaign. Man, is their algorithm screwed up if their wasting their time asking people like me for money )

I do get tired of the requests for money, but I also understand why they keep coming.

Our political system is awash in money and you can't compete without lots of it. The Republicans seem to have lock on getting the most money from the oligarch class, so the Dems really have to rely a lot on grassroots donations.

I just keep unsubscribing to emails or use the STOP reply on texts. Keeps the numbers down.

And with gmail the emails all go into the 'promotions' folder, so they don't clutter up my primary inbox.

Yes, it's a lot at the moment. We're grassroots, eh?

I'd say that I am. I live on a pension and try to nurse my savings along for the endgame.

I don't always disagree with conservative views but one area where I do...they are always more on the side of the wealthy and powerful than the Democrats are. And they've done much more to contribute to the extreme wealth inequality we are seeing now than the Democrats have. And extreme wealth inequality is bad for a society.

Yes, I live on SS and a pension. It's tighter than I thought it would be. At one point I was conservative - as I aged I became more liberal. Trump contributed greatly to the wealth inequality too. I think kids today have it tougher than I did, even with good employment. We need to get housing affordable for families.

We need to get housing affordable for families.

I live in a small tourist town where many of the jobs are low wage hospitality work. But the average home price is nearly $600,000, which is more than the average home price in Salt Lake City and about the same as the average home price in Denver.

There are always help wanted signs all over town and some businesses curtail the hours or days they are open because they can't get enough help, or can't afford the help.

It is very hard to fill jobs such as teacher or police officer because people can't afford to move here on those salaries.

Me too, although there are plans to build the worlds largest BESS here and industrialize our wildlife sanctuary of a bay into a maintenance port for huge offshore wind farms.

The average home price is $975k and until last year were under building moratorium due to drought. Everything being built is infill, prices well over a million, so labor will commute at least 2 hrs a day to build whatever finally gets approved.

Where homes are being built inland, developers are building for max profit; not affordability. Capitalism, whattyagonnado?
