Iran has a line of succession, just as we do — so there’s going to be some Vice Ayatollah Couchfuck McTurban ready to take over, and be just as repressive a bastard as Khamenei was.

Revolutionary Guard, the military and paramilitaries have all the weapons. Opposition leadership has pretty much been dismantled by the regime.
Just how are the people of Iran supposed to follow through on Trump’s soaring rhetorical fantasy and throw off their chains? A month or so ago, they took to the streets in peaceful protest and 10-30,000 of them were gunned down.
What would make this time any different?
Trump basically told them “Good luck”.
