Well again when you process what Trump actually said or posted on social media through propagandistic media outlets, you're going to get the confirmation bias that you always seem to be looking for.
However, if you're correct to interpret whatever Trump said (or however it's being interpreted) as "targeting all 53 million foreign born people living in the United States," I completely agree with you.
The targeting should be much more focused, specifically on any would-be immigrants or non-citizens who hail from Arabic or Islamic-controlled areas.
They are clearly the most dangerous to allow into the country, at least not without an extremely invasive, detailed and lengthy vetting process.
The Jihadi MurderBot is simply the latest example of many covering decades.
