Recent social media posts on X (formerly Twitter) show individuals who are not influencers or investors claiming they’ve been invited to use the service.

Assuming that's so, well, good for them. But Waymo was doing 200k paid rides a week in February, and 250k a week by April.

I'm conservatively assuming that the roll-out rate is primarily a function of the government permissions, and that the government permissions are primarily a function of lobbying rather than (say) pedestrian safety. Consequently I'm not placing any wagers in this space.
