Imagine how betrayed Denmark must feel.
They joined the US in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their total numbers of troops was, of course, much lower than the US, given Denmark's much smaller population. But...
when measured per capita (as a proportion of their total population), Denmark suffered some of the highest casualty rates among all NATO allies.
Per Capita Comparison:
While the absolute number of Danish deaths is much smaller, the impact on their small population of roughly 6 million was severe:
Afghanistan: Denmark suffered approximately 7.38 to 7.82 deaths per million people. Many sources identify this as the highest or second-highest per capita loss rate of any nation in the NATO coalition, often rivaling or exceeding that of the U.S. depending on the specific phase of the conflict analyzed.
Why in the hell does Trump want to make enemies of our natural allies? I know, the simple answer is he is a stupid fck. There is no good reason for this land grab. Greenland has generously let us base units and facilities on their land. That should be adequate.
It might be hyperbole, but it's easy to believe, that Trump saw a Mercator projection of the earth and thought "Oh, Greenland is HUGE! I want that!" And Trump has always felt no need to ask for consent. He believes he has the right to use his grubby little fingers to grab whatever he wants, be it a woman's pssy or another sovereign land. And remember, when asked about any constraints there might be on this power, he replied 'only my own morality'. Of which he has NONE.

The Danes sound like they are getting head-faked by Trump.
The whole "We want Denmark!" schtick is pure subterfuge.
It's the CHEESE we want.
And the wooden shoes.
And the windmills.
And the tulips.
And the dykes.
Oh wait...we already have plenty of those.

Steve,,,the shoes are called "klompen"
People in west Michigan that clearly need to be deported for "failure to assimilate", because they still occasionally wear Dutch clothes, dance Dutch dances, and wave Dutch flags.

Not surprising
Steve,,,the shoes are called "klompen"
Ever been to that klompen factory in Holland on the other side of the state? They’ve also got Delft ceramic dinnerware….. and there’s also a huge nursery in Hollandthat sells tons of tulip bulbs, though to be honest, we get ours cheaper at the hardware store.

So the poster that calls everyone dum dums doesn’t know the difference between Denmark and The Netherlands?
Definitely Trump cabinet material.

Yup. I made a trip to the Dutch theme park, in the 60s. I had a pair of klompen back then. Wore them, from time to time. Frankly, I don't see what the Dutch see in them.
One thing you learn, living in west Michigan: the Dutch love their baked goods. In Grand Rapids, if a grocery store does not have an in-store bakery, it's doomed. When I went to open my Radio Shack, in GR, the smell of the sugar from the bakery in the Family Foods next door would about knock me over.

Ah yes, the same poster who spent years bellowing "Don’t tread on me!" and warning about jackbooted federal overreach is now applauding
as ICE agents kick down doors, drag people from their homes, and commit a little extrajudicial murder.
Truly, the cognitive dissonance is doing Olympic-level gymnastics!

You can always tell the Dutch,
But you can’t tell them much…

Skanksy,
Oh how I wish you actually care about what Milton Friedman said.
Your Friedman quote had nothing to do with Trump.
He was talking about leftist government overreach.
Dum dum.
Yes you are.
But go ahead keep quoting from Friedman. You couldn't find a Leftist, anywhere, to recite the proposition or argument you wished to make, or you would have quoted the leftist.
Too much government is evil.
Say it loud, say it proud, and keep quoting Friedman.

Marco, shut up you old moron.
Remember when you used to pretend to be a Milton Friedman clone?
Why did you drop that act?

Banksy: Pathetic. Would that qualify as a burn at the nursing home?
No, but it would qualify as a burn if uttered by a 13 year-old boy.

He was talking about leftist government overreach.
Government overreach is government overreach, and today’s government overreach takes the cake.
Today’s jack-booted thugs really ARE jack-booted thugs, and you excuse their behavior and tell lies on their behalf.
