Our Part D provider sent us a bill payment booklet last week. It seems that somehow the automatic payment from our SS deposit got switched to us having to make the monthly payment via check, funds transfer, or credit card.
Has anyone else run into this?

Not me, not yet.
But then, being a pill-free zone, I have a Part D plan with zero premiums.

No. Received my monthly e-mail notice on 2 Jan (like I do every month) from UHC:
We’re processing your payment.
We received your premium payment of $xxx.xx (which includes a 31.3% increase from 2025 - No, they didn't mention that part... but that's what the increase calculates to!).
It may take up to 10 days to process your payment. If your payment is unsuccessful, we will send you an email.
In 14 years its never been "unsuccessful". I would check credit history, etc. Sounds like something that happens from ID theft, or maybe a bank/payment change? Call'em.

I did call them. Wellcare claims that I opted out of having the deduction made automatically over a phone call in November that I cannot recall receiving. My wife received a text that about it that was so suspicious that she ignored it around that time. We are wondering if the company is trying to get more people to directly pay them because the SSA under this administration is screwing around with the payments. They wouldn't be the first contractor that Trump screwed.
