It's sad it has taken this long for women to reach this point. Over 100 years, and we're still not at parity between genders. When I was in grad school, there were about 12 of us in the physics PhD program (we all had to take the same classes, so we pretty much knew everyone else). Only two were female. From my observations in the workplace, there are a larger percentage of female engineers, but it's still not at parity. And a lot of those lady engineers were Asian or Indian.

As far as we have come -and we have come far- we still have a long way to go.

1poorguy (raised a daughter, she's full-time employed and going to school...she doesn't take any excrement from anyone, and I'd like to think I played a small role in that :-)
