..."we don't want to separate a small child from her mother". And, of course, letting a brown person stay illegally, because her child is a citizen, is not acceptable. So, ship both of them out.
And they didn't bother with any of that bleeding-heart "legal due process" either.
Five-year-old deported to Honduras despite being US citizen is latest child victim of Trump crackdown
Mother whose visa application was pending says she will send girl back to US soon accompanied by another relative
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were acting on an administrative deportation order against Gutiérrez, 26, issued in 2019, before Génesis was born.
“I kept telling them ‘the girl was born here’. They didn’t care, they picked up the child, just put a jumper on her and told me to get into the car with her,” Gutiérrez told the Guardian.
The two were held for almost a week in a hotel 80 miles from their home, without access to a lawyer or a hearing before a judge, before being deported to the Central American country.https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/27/fi...MAGA voted for this. Buckle up.

We need to put a stop to this. We don't want families broken apart, or citizens deported. We can amend birthright citizenship so they're citizens if one of the parents is a citizen or has a permanent status. We need to get it out in the open, talk about it, then get it passed. Take that complaint out of the mix.
How do we get people to understand the value of allies? I always thought it was self evident, but it evidently isn't.

We need to put a stop to this.
MAGA said they don't want to see brown people around.
So pick your choice:
-US citizen deported with migrant parent.
-US citizen separated from migrant parent.
-both US citizen and migrant parent locked in concentration camp, until parent agrees to renounce child's citizenship, then both are deported.
-US citizenship revoked, and both deported.

The child was not "deported."
The child's illegal immigrant mom, who was deported, accepted custody of the child and voluntarily took the child with her. That's her absolute right as the child's parent.
Don't you believe in Rule of Law?

You describe this situation as if it was just a normal exploration of available options.
Would you like the red dress?
Or the blue one?
And you ignore the absolute evil at the heart of it.

That gives me an idea for another option: in a situation where there is one illegal, a citizen spouse, and citizen spawn, lock the entire posse up in a concentration camp, until all the citizens agree to renounce their US citizenship, and be deported with their illegal spouse/parent. MAGA can crow about "keeping the family together", while making Shinyland white.

Let me fix that for you:
And you embrace the absolute evil at the heart of it.

ICE violated at least 96 court orders in January
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minnesota's federal chief judge will not require the nation's top ICE official to testify in court this week, but he chastised the agency for violating more court orders this month "than other agencies have violated in their entire existence."
"This list should give pause to anyone—no matter his or her political beliefs—who cares about the rule of law," Schiltz said in an order Wednesday.
"ICE is not a law unto itself," Schiltz wrote. "ICE has every right to challenge the orders of this Court, but, like any litigant, ICE must follow those orders unless and until they are overturned or vacated."https://www.fox9.com/news/ice-violated-least-96-co...Steve
