That crossed my mind too, but their body count is puny, compared to SAVAK's, or the secret police of the Argentinian and Chilean juntas, that the US gave it's full throated support to. Of those, the worst body count seems to be at the hands of the Argentine junta, the same luminaries who wagged the dog by invading the Falklands, at some 20-30,000 from 76 to 83. But even the Argentine body count pales compared to the ethnic cleansing op, by our "special ally". in Gaza, with a body count around 76,000.
