Every lawyer will tell you they only ask questions they know the answers to. And...when questioning *your* witness, only ask questions you know the *witness* knows the answers to (and that those answers are what you want the court to hear).

Alas. George Stephanopoulos. The former Clinton mouthpiece who is somehow employed as a "journalist". He keeps trying to drive a narrative...and he keeps getting punked by reality.

Here's George S trying to get Wal-Mart's CEO to say that PRICES ARE WAY UP AND AMERICANS CAN'T AFFORD THANKSGIVING TURKEY YOU GUYS. But:

https://x.com/CurtisHouck/status/19807024814043466...

WATCH: ABC’s George Stephanopoulos tries to get Walmart’s U.S. CEO to bash Trump and claim the economy’s in a tailspin. CEO John Furner was not having any of it.

First, Stephanopoulos tried to argue turkey prices are way up, but Furner replied Walmart’s turkeys will be their *lowest since 2019* and the price of their Thanksgiving basket for ten will be $14 *cheaper than last year*

Hahahahahahahaha!
Talk about faceplanting on live TV.

George tries again:
https://x.com/CurtisHouck/status/19807033661005132...

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos then tried to have Walmart U.S. CEO John Furner bash President Trump as harming the economy with his tariffs.

Furner again disagreed, saying “two-thirds of what we sell is either made, grown, or assembled in the United States” and they currently “have about 7,000 items” on Walmart’s trademark Rollback pricing

We don't import Thanksgiving turkeys, George.

Being a liberal with a narrative to drive, he tries one more time (because liberals never just Fail once, it's always 3 times):

https://x.com/CurtisHouck/status/19807047077409139...

Stephanopoulos tried one last time to have the Walmart U.S. CEO John Furner attack the Trump administration, arguing Americans “are tightening their belts right now, borrowing more to pay bills, falling behind on credit card payments,” and wondered if that’s affected the company.

Furner again rejected this is happening, arguing Americans are “very resilient” while also wanting “quality” and “value”

Hahahahahahahaha!

And just to remind you people: https://eggprices.org/national-data

Egg prices today are cheaper now than at any time in the last 10 years.

liberalism. Failure on steroids.

Media talking head fail?

I missed it, but another Fool member related the day Ned Reilly was on bubblevision, pumping Dell. Mark Haines, who was a lawyer, turned to David Faber and said "any news on Dell?" Faber replied "Dell just warned". The camera cut back to Reilly, and the Fool poster said Reilly "looked like someone just killed his puppy".

Of course, the Trump regime has been using "alternate facts" since the first go around.

And just to remind you people: https://eggprices.org/national-data = Dope

I am surprised no one else on the board has posted about this since egg prices have been a specific interest.

Except this was Wal-Mart's CEO talking about real products.
The only "alternative facts" surrounded the narrative that George S was trying to build.

Cross your fingers, Dope. It's on the rise, just in time for the holidays.

More avian flu on Minnesota turkey farm, backyard flocks in multiple states

Egg-laying farm hens in Indiana hit

In Indiana, an outbreak on a commercial egg-layer farm with 19,600 birds was reported in Lagrange County. Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County has noted two outbreaks of 1,200, and 2,800 birds, respectively.

In Cascade and Yellowstone counties in Montana, two small backyard flocks were affected. And Idaho also reported detections on a farm in Payette County (11,600 birds) and in a 90-bird backyard flock in Canyon County.

Avian flu activity is increasing across the county after relatively few detections this summer. In the past 30 days, confirmations have been made in 62 flocks, including 34 commercial flocks and 28 backyard flocks, with 6.46 million birds affected in the outbreaks.

Minnesota has seen the highest jump in activity, with 17 commercial flocks, 2 backyard flocks, and almost 600,000 birds affected.

The only "alternative facts" surrounded the narrative that George S was trying to build.

Anyone who watched bubblevision over the years, knows CEOs can lie with great dexterity. Under the current regime, every CEO will be eager to fit the regime's narrative, lest they suffer consequences. So, was he fibbing? Did George have solid data backing what he said? We Proles don't know.

The Shinyland media is, as pointed out from time to time, more interested in promoting hype and hysteria, than in informing the public. Your market may have seen a variation of the ad the NBC affiliate was running here in metro Detroit, when Fallon first took over the "Tonight Show". It was a riff on his "thank you notes" bit. Fallon writes "thank you, local 4, for telling me something in my kitchen can kill me, but never telling me what it is"

The regime has also lowered the bar, to an unprecedented level, regarding attachment to reality.

Remain skeptical, at all times.

You're speculating that he's lying.

Why don't we look at some prices?
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Butterball-Frozen-Whole...

That's a whole turkey, 10-16lbs, and it sells for #13.14. 97 cents per pound. Both the turkeys are priced at 97 cents per pound. Let's use that as our yardstick.

In 2019, turkey was
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/youll-pay-part-than...

2019 price: $20.80

The centerpiece of the typical Thanksgiving dinner — a 16-pound turkey — costs about $1 less than last year, when the average price was $21.71. Today's retail turkey prices are said to be the lowest since 2010.

That's $1.30 per pound compared to 97 cents per pound.

So I'd say he's right, as least as far as the price of turkey goes.
