Odd politics? That is certainly one way to minimize what has happened. Probably not very credible, but if it helps you sleep.

You also misunderstood what I said. I am not suggesting that changed his entire view, I am suggesting that Buffett would be like any other rational human being. When the facts change, you re-evaluate your opinion. Buffett has certainly changed his mind on investments when the facts that his investment opinion were based on changed.
