In silencing recollection of lifetime experience
content is swept from consciousness,
liberating one from encumbrances:
importance
good and evil
family and culture
all the accoutrements of personal life
punctuated by imagined birth and death.
In the absence of everything known,
awareness is eclipsed by infinite unknown.
The beatific vision of paradise lost
eternally witnesses absolute simplicity.
The infinity of all-that-is
ubiquitously evacuates to nothingness.
The public function of universal awareness,
exposes raw creativity
harmonizing intent
crystallizing personal integration
expressed to the extent it is unfettered
by the constraints of recollected conclusions and beliefs.
Christmas symbolizes the birth of creation.
Christ is deus verbum – the word of god.
The word of god is the word of one,
as there is only oneness
in the god of ken.
In the absence of other
only nothing is excluded.
Jesus, son of man,
is god the father almighty.
As he said, “i and the father are one.”
Elsewhere he says:
“greater things than this you shall do.”
Taking this as his word
suggests one can be no more nor less than the father.
What is all this talk about?
Denuded of cultural trappings,
all-that-is embraces single-point-of-origin.
Eating from the tree of knowledge is the original sin of Eden.
Before knowledge is pristine innocence.
Every bit of knowledge
assumes a point of reference
elaborating habitat
for a supremely seductive self-image
vying for status as the i of the eye.
The i of self-image
is born of identification
with this or that specific
of all-that-is.
In the blessed gift of christmas
eye precedes i
shrinking i to unimportance.
The beloved bambino
born this very moment,
swaddled in nothingness,
embodies the lifetime of present perspective.
Everything is now.
Now is everything.
All-that-is is what-is.
The infinity of all-that-is
eternally spirates from single-point-of-origin
before multiplicity.
One is all is one.
