Same in other places, with other products: charge what the market will bear, not price for a "fair" profit.

As the President of the UAW noted, during the strike, a couple years ago: even though Mexican autoworkers are paid about a tenth what US autoworkers are paid, the companies charge the same for their cars, regardless if they are built in the US or Mexico.
