The historical first mug shot of a U.S. president has been released to the public, and it's already breaking the internet.

Why wasn't he holding the little sign with his name, and standing against a height background? THAT is the classic mugshot, IMO.

The lighting on that shot sucked, too. Yeah, I'm a photo-nerd. But mugshots probably shouldn't have shadows on the face. Usually the flash is either on the camera or next to it for a shadowless mugshot.

Like this...no shadows. (Also, there wasn't a profile shot of Trump?) Though no height scale in this shot, either.

None of this will be true if Trump manages to get back into the Whitehouse, because that will be the end of history for the US. History does not fare well in autocracies.

Clearly the photog went to school and learned that Rembrandt lighting is more dramatic than, in most cases, butterfly lighting. His portfolio will get more views than a boring flat-lit shot.

Thinking back to Clinton's $200.00 haircut, Trump's hair and makeup artist prolly cost substantially more though, to his credit, Trump Force 1 didn't stop runway traffic at a major int'l airport for an hour.
