SCOTUS is now hearing the tariff case that will decide whether all of our past tariff madness has been unconstitutional,
plunging us into new tariff madness, or if it has all been okay, giving a thumbs up to more future tariff madness...
Prediction markets have revised the probability of the White House winning (and the tariffs being found constitutional) from 45% down to 30% in just half an hour.

Not surprised. There seemed to be a lot of skepticism from all the judges during the opening arguments from gov't lawyer John Sauer. His side alone took all of the 80 minutes that was the minimum time allocated.
Than Neal Katyal started his counter arguments for the plaintiffs. Still going on...

What does the U.S. Constitution and/or any relevant stautory law say about the President's power to impose or change tariffs without prior Congressional approval?
The decision will probably just look to the text of the relevant legal authorities.

Remember the old adage: The Market Hates Uncertainty ?
That sure does not seem to apply anymore.
Trump is 1 big obese orange-caked soiled-diaper wearing bundle of uncertainty,
but the Market has been chugging along. SPY up about 9% since Trump took office
in January.
I think the Market likes the corruption that they can benefit from due to Trump's
heavy hand, more than the Market dislikes the uncertainty of Tariffs.
The American Consumer is a whole different animal, though, I don't hear much
of anyone talk about liking the direction things appear to be heading
( other than the most faithful orange koolade drinkers ).
I hope the USSC throws the tariffs Trump has dumped on the American Consumer.
Throw it back in the hands of our do-nothing MAGA led Congress.
ps The Laziest Congress in American history, imo. How many days of
work has the MAGA-led House of Reps missed in 2025 ?? They skip work
more than Trump golfs.

I will be pleasantly surprised if they don't side with their very special boy.

You people need revenue, badly.
Pray the tariffs stay, one way or another.

Or roll back the "JC" tax cuts, that the tariff revenue was needed to cover? Nah. That's so Communsitical. Take more away from the Proles instead.
