I though this was a storage approach involving diffusion without a hard boundary, not a pressure dome like natural gas storage. No?
So it would just seep out?

Not that big sudden CO2 burps are harmless.

The design of the degassing system is one of the coolest engineering ideas I've seen in ages.
The reduction in the CO2 concentration is powered by the CO2 concentration itself.
