Just out of curiosity, what are alternative jobs for a rank-and-file CIA employee who might decide to pursue a career outside of the US government?
I can neither confirm nor deny that there is an awful lot of intellectual brain drain out of various three letter agencies responsible for our spy craft, that trust is eroded in the Five Eyes (the 80+ year partnership between the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, about all sorts of spy craft), and that a lot of the competent former govvies are finding work at Crowdstrike, Microsoft, and indeed law firms and such.
I can nearly confirm nor deny that I've discouraged several folks from working in said locales, and all have waived off.
