They actually want concessions from the US. They are hurting because we are restricting business with them (especially tech), but they want also general business investment. IMHO, we should say "go climb a tree". Feeding a growing military menace who has demonstrated expansionist ambitions (even though they have lost every claim they have made in international courts) is a BAD idea. Even as they said they want more investment, they reiterated that they will be taking Taiwan soon.
We need to starve them out. Total import ban, total export ban, sanctions. The works. At least until they become a democracy. Their bellicose posture with respect to Taiwan and the South China Sea are simply unacceptable.

IMHO, there should not be a single thing on the shelves in the US that says "made in China".
