Hegseth: “President Trump directed the most complex and secretive military operation in history, and it was a resounding success resulting in a ceasefire agreement and the end of the 12-day war.”

"...complex and secretive military operation in history..."

Are you kidding me? That's off-the-charts exaggeration. I guess our Sec of Defense never heard of D-Day.

But then he was playing for that important audience of one: the man with the monster ego, our narcissist-in-chief.

That's off-the-charts exaggeration.

My opinion is that the mission was well planned and well executed. In a rare good move, Trump mostly played his role, telling the lie that he’d decide on an action in two weeks. Of course, he hinted at way too much in online posts. Fortunately, the diversionary flight of B2s made it look like the attack would happen in a couple of days - after a stop in Guam and/or Diego Garcia.

But the bigger question is whether the mission should have been undertaken at all. I’ll leave that discussion for a different thread.
