Maybe not lectured, but we should observe some of their practices. For example, much of the world considers our "work ethic" barbaric. Japan would be one exception (theirs is even more severe than ours). Maternity leave? Well, we're getting there. PAternity leave? Not very common. Etc.
We should also look at healthcare, bribing politicians...errr..."campaign contributions" to politicians, and more. Less a lecture, more observation and discussion. We could learn some things, maybe make some of our systems/processes better.
Specifically, the French situation right now I consider a bit silly. From what I know (I'm not an expert on their SS system). A small increase in retirement age when people are living longer seems not unreasonable. As for the muslims in France, they are sort of following behind us. A hundred years ago the situation there today would not have been unfamiliar to black people in the US. For all our problems about race, in many ways we are far ahead of some societies (mostly because we have had a lot of practice...very few nations are as diverse as we are:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_...). Roughly 1/2 white, 1/2 everybody else. In a generation there could be no majority race in this nation (i.e. no group over 50%). I'm not aware of any other nation that even comes close to that.
