Something Needs to be done about Russia...
FINANCIAL TIMES
In July 2024, DHL parcels exploded in logistics centres in the UK, Poland and Germany. Each of them was powerful
enough to have brought down a cargo plane had they detonated onboard.
Security services would eventually trace the plot back to a group of Russian-directed saboteurs who had a further 6kg of explosive material in their possession. That was enough to give them the capability for what security officials told the Financial Times was the next stage of the plan: to attack flights to the US, and cause more disruption to the airline industry than any act of terror since the World Trade Center attacks.
It was just one near-miss incident in a co-ordinated and covert campaign of sabotage led by Moscow, officials believe, that has sown bewilderment across the continent and is steadily posing more of a risk to human lives.

Paywalled so can't read the FT article alleging "Russians" planted several bombs that could have taken down cargo planes in Europe.
You sure the "Russians" aren't ethnic Muslim rebels like Chechens?

Lord Trump's plan is clear: surrender to them.

It appears that the US under Trump will do nothing.
Trump is worse than a Neville Chamberlain, because he is so ignorant of history.

It's King Trump Steve, not Lord Trump.
And telling the other NATO countries they better do a lot more to pull their weight, both financially and by turning off the spigot of permitting immigration of millions of people who just drain NATO resources while simultaneously undermining the culture of the NATO countries, isn't "surrendering."
It's the opposite.

Telling NATO they need to beef up their militaries and contribute more financially; and to stop letting leeching immigrants who hate Western culture into their borders, is not "weakening", it is strengthening.

Yes, he's easily manipulated. Make him a deal and you get what you want. We just can't see all of the deals, and all of what is in a deal that we can see.

It's King Trump Steve, not Lord Trump.I'll call him whatever I want! I'll call him a swaggering, tin-plated, dictator, with delusions of god-hood, if it pleases me! :^)

Here comes the thought police.
US Plans to Mandate Social Media Checks for Visa-Free Visitors
Bloomberg) — The US is proposing that foreign visitors provide their social media history over the last five years to enter the country, including those from Australia, Germany, Japan and the UK who can now enter without a visa.
US Customs and Border Protection “is adding social media as a mandatory data element” as part of the screening process for travelers entering the US under the Visa Waiver Program, according to a Department of Homeland Security notice posted on Wednesday.https://currently.att.yahoo.com/finance/news/us-pl...Steve

Hey isn't that line from "The Trouble With Tribbles"? When the Klingons are trying to instigate a fight with the Enterprise crew members at space station K-7?
That's what the Klingon calls Captain Kirk as I recall.
Then after the fight is over and Kirk is trying to figure out what happened, Kirk says to Scotty: "So when he called me a tin plated dictator with delusions of godhood, that's when you punched him, right Scotty?"
"No."
"Well why did you punch him?"
"Because he called the enterprise a garbage scow."
That was probably the most hilarious scene in Star Trek history.

Star Trek -- The Barfighthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESOVytMJagcThat was probably the most hilarious scene in Star Trek history. And Scotty was delighted to be restricted to quarters, as that gave him time to get caught up reading technical manuals.

The Ending Scene From The Trouble with Tribbleshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P53FoceF1TcIn the Bluray set, there is a supplement with the guy who wrote that ep. He said he was really on a roll, when he wrote it. After the ep was broadcast, his friends called him to say how great it was. But he never imagined that people would still be watching it, and talking about it, fifty years later. William Schallert, who played the bureaucrat, talked about how much fun he had in that ep too. He relished the chances he had to "really lay in to Kirk'.

I am pleased we were able to share a mind meld for once.I have found that any two people probably share some opinion, or experience. I had a coworker, Bill, some years ago, that had Sean Hannity's radio program playing on his computer, on auto repeat, all day, every day. One day, I made some comment to another guy in the pod that Bill worked in, about Kirk even managing to get laid in a Klingon forced labor camp. Bill started laffing, and said "and what did McCoy say?". To which I replied "what is it with you?".
