900 American auto workers are being laid off by Stellantis across 5 US plants due to the tariffs. They had to stop making auto parts for sale to Canada, because Canada is going to sell a whole lot fewer cars. Across the border from Detroit, they're already shutting down their auto plants. And if you're in the market for a new car, be prepared to cough up thousands more dollars. How's that for the promise of bringing down prices on Day One?

And it looks like this is just the start of mass layoffs in the US and potentially the beginning of a recession.

Why pay more now? Wait for the recession to hit *hard*, and then paying customers (i.e. buyers) become the most valued prize. I *can* wait. They can't. Why? No customers = no cash coming in = no $$$ = bankrupt/out of business. So, buying from them was a bad choice in the first place (weak/failing company/business). Find a better deal elsewhere.
