I like the products from Avantis Investors.

Look at their all-in-one fund Avantis All Equity Markets ETF AVGE:

Or Avantis All Equity Markets Value ETF AVGV:

They are both a mixture of Avantis funds in a single wrapper, with exposure to many markets, US and international, and market segments.

50% in something like this and 50% in Berkshire would be easy to manage and low cost.

IMO, that's really not enough info.

What are your ultimate goals for that $1M? An expensive funeral? Charity? Inheritance? Moving to the Hamptons?

Not that the other suggestions were bad. But they may or may not align with your goals/intentions. Just sayin'.
