Sure he's the richest man in the world, but he is still a dufus and sucking up to Trump just makes him look stupid.

Trying to bring EVs into mainstream is a negative and of course, sordid (modern culture) life personally - -but otherwise, the man sets out to do badass things and gets them done. And it's him in charge - he's not a putz Club 401K'er with a title and fluffed up resume.

I wonder what is goal here is?

For Tesla? Make a ton of money, which he has. They OWN the premium EV market and are the market mover. Everybody is playing catch-up to them.

I think he figured out a long time ago that the EV market for next 10-20 years is limited to more affluent urban dwellers who live <30 miles from wherever they go and don't take very many multi-day trips. So they can use their cars the way they use their cell phones: do whatever all day and then charge them up at night.

(Cue somebody with an anecdote about how they once towed 25,000lbs of gear over the Rockies in a subzero snowstorm)

Obviously, Musk does not want a net worth tax or a tax on, unrealized capital gains. Musk and Zuckerberg know WHO pressured them to CONtrol the CONtent on their platforms in 2020 in an effort to CONtrol the outcome of the 2020 election. Musk flipped sides and is backing trump Zuckerberg is not giving the Dem party 100's of millions of dollars. Both Musk and Zuck know freedom of speech is on the ballot, they are both playing it in different ways. IF the Dems win all three branches, twitter will be shut down.
