Put that tongue back where it belongs! iirc, at one time, Japanese baseball teams were limited to two gaijin. There are plenty of USians who are allowed to pass through High School and college, without learning anything, because they played a sport. If someone thinks of it, I'm sure there would be a national campaign to get the foreigners out of sports,so there are more "jobs" for USians with four years of college, but illiterate.

Back when Tom Selleck was really bankable, he played the gaijin thing for laffs.
